A slew of impressive video games are scheduled to be released next year. One of them is GalaxyTrail's Freedom Planet 2. The game developer revealed on Twitter about their plan to release a sample version of the game very soon.

Galaxy Trail announced that the playable demo of the game will be available next month. The developer will make an appearance at PAX South on January 27-29 to present the game demo in person. By the end of January, the playable demo will be free to download.

Freedom Planet 2 is one of highly anticipated video games of 2017. The first Freedom Planet was initially released for Microsoft Windows on July 21, 2014. The increase in the popularity of the video game resulted to its introduction to Wii U in October of 2015.

Freedom Planet was developed as a fan game for the popular Sonic the Hedgehog video game. The 16-bit style graphic of Freedom Planet mimicked the graphics of other popular video games made for Sega Genesis. The game is a 2D platform action game and featured anthropomorphized animal characters.

The development of the sequel to the Freedom Planet video game was first announced on December 25, 2015 by GalaxyTrail. In its earlier announcement, GalaxyTrail has said that the characters of the original Freedom Planet have undergone design overhauls in order to strengthen the video game's chances to become a franchise.

Freedom Planet 2 has been developed using the Unity framework introduced by Unity technology. Using the Unity framework will make the video game available for different gaming consoles and platforms.

Game developer, GalaxyTrail, has just released a gameplay video featuring its latest video game, Freedom Planet 2. For those who can't wait to play the new video game, GalaxyTrail is said to have made a trial version which can already be downloaded by avid video game players by the end of January 2017.
