A new gameplay video on "Total War: Warhammer" recently surfaced, showing the wood elves launching a siege to try and take over a kingdom. The footage showcased the different siege artillery and machines used to scale the walls of the defending army.

GameSpot posted the "Total War: Warhammer" Wood Elf Siege gameplay video, which lasted four and a half minutes. The starting scene showed formations of elven archers firing at the enemy walls. There were eagles hovering over the grassy terrain and siege towers moving toward the enemy city. The camera focused on groups of elves running towards the thick and high walls, some of them receiving arrows from the other side. They stopped a few meters from the walls and started to fire back at the defenders on top of the walls. Others immediately set up ladders to climb in "Total War: Warhammer."

The following scene in "Total War: Warhammer" showed the defenders on top of the walls, receiving a flurry of arrows and blows from siege weapons. The siege towers in "Total War: Warhammer" made contact with the walls and the elven warriors poured out, commencing a frenzied melee combat between the two armies on top of the walls. In the middle of the video, more elf warriors with swords marched towards the city gates. A battering ram was already in place, ready to break the defense down.

In the next "Total War: Warhammer" scene, the city gates were already opened, and elf warriors rushed towards the city center. More melee combat ensued between the attackers and defenders. The camera then focused on the eagles, which had elf riders that fired arrows upon enemies. The sound of clashing weapons and battle cries followed. At one point, a large elf entered the gate to join the fight. He appeared to be a group leader or hero. More hulking figures wielding giant tree trunks joined him, destroying enemies that crossed their path.

Ultimately, the elves won the siege in "Total War: Warhammer" and took control of the city via strategy, siege power and overwhelming numbers. "Total War: Warhammer" is currently playable on PC.
