"Resident Evil 7" is set to be released in January 2017 and fans are given the chance to get a glimpse into the new installment through a PC gameplay teaser called "Beginning Hour." In a recent update, Capcom announces a patch that will help solve some of the problems that were encountered by PC users.

Capcom released a PC demo version prior to the upcoming release of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." This demo version helped provide gamers the chance to explore the gameplay of the upcoming installment even before its official launch on Jan. 24.

While many users have already experienced the feel of "Resident Evil 7," several users encountered problems while using the game on their PCs. The latest patch released by Capcom would hopefully eliminate those problems.

According to DSO Gaming, the "Resident Evil 7" patch for the PC demo provides support for CPUs without the SSE4.1, which includes CPUs such as Intel Core2 or AMD Phenom. The HBAO+ performance has also been improved with this latest patch, which is available for download from Steam.

Aside from this, the patch also fixes the issue of changes in the game's screen size when switching from the full-screen to the windowed mode. This comes in less than a month prior to the official "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" release date.

During the launch on Jan. 24, "Resident Evil 7" will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, reports MCV. Users will also be able to play the game in virtual reality, which will definitely add to gamers' experience (and added scare).

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be the latest installment to the popular game franchise since "Resident Evil 6" was released in 2012. The gameplay would take on the first-person perspective through the character of Ethan Winters (who is in search for his missing wife) and is set in Louisiana.
