This is some great news for all the die-hard "Pokemon Sun and Moon" fans. A new global event has been scheduled to begin starting December 27. The two-week long "Pokemon Sun and Moon" global event will last until January 9. Nintendo 3DS owners, who have access to one of the recent Pokemon games, will be able to participate in this global event. The aim of the fortnight event will be to defeat or procure 1 million Pokemon before the end of the global event.

However, such an extravagant event comes with a loophole of sorts. The Pokemon captured only by using the Island Scan feature will get counted in the final figure of the global event. How does one get access to the Island Scan feature? You need to assemble 100 points by scanning QR codes available within the game.

The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players will try to catch 1 million Pokemon available throughout the game thus, making the global event successful. Previously, in December, Nintendo had failed to reach the mark of 100 million captured Pokemon. In essence, it turned out to be a bit of an embarrassment for all companies including Nintendo. Even though many gamers had bought the copies of the game, only 16.5 million Pokemon were procured. We can only hope that this Pokemon Sun and Moon global event fares better than its predecessor, given that the parameter has been reduced from 100 million to only 1 million.

Are the loyal "Pokemon Sun and Moon" fans excited about the kick-off of this second global event of the popular game? Do you think that gamers will be able to meet the targets set by the game developers?
