"Hannibal", an American TV series, has been released on NBC last April 4, 2013. However, its last episode was only until August 29, 2015. This is because of the poor ratings received by the show although the plot was wonderful enough.
Showrunner To Bring Back The Fourth Season. Despite being canceled after just three seasons. showrunners might have found a way to bring "Hannibal" back on the TV screens. Bryan Fuller, an American screenwriter and TV producer, has not given his hopes up on his beloved show.
A report from Polygon confirmed that Fuller will bring the "Silence of the Lambs" back in 2017. In fact, he has been speaking with another producer, Martha De Laurentiis, about gaining the rights for the mini-series to continue.
Such kind of comeback, according to CinemaBlend, would surely be a welcome news for fans who were surely caught about how the last season had ended. Fuller and his team were not aware that their show, "Hannibal", would be canceled and this puts many of its viewer asking for more since the protagonist's life is put in jeopardy.
With Fuller and Martha talking, "Hannibal" might end up as a mini-series. They've also thought of incorporating the elements of "The Silence of the Lambs" into it, however, they have problem working on it because of the deal over the rights. But then again. Fuller said that there were much more "nooks and crannies" that the teams want to explore basing on its original novel.
Considering this, "Hannibal's" return might be a success and it could be the next "Sherlock" which successfully comes back every year with new batch of episodes to watch. If main stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman were able to make a way for Sherlock, there's nothing impossible with gaining back Mads Mikkelsen, who by the way has been busy with " Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."
