The OnePlus 3T was announced and released in November whereas the Apple iPhone 7 Plus was released in September. While the iPhone is always high on demand, the OnePlus 3T is basically an improved OnePlus 3 with a much lower price tag than the iPhone 7 Plus. While both devices have some pretty amazing specs, it will be interesting to see how the OnePlus mobile fares against the Apple flagship.

According to NEUROGADGET, the OnePlus 3T has a uni-body aluminum frame and weighs 158g. When compared to the price of $490 for the basic version, the handset provides a design way better on that price. It has a fingerprint scanner beneath the screen, USB Type-C connection and 3.5mm headphone jack. The Apple iPhone 7 Plus is a bit cumbersome for one-hand use but is water and dust resistant unlike its competitor.

It doesn't feature the 3.5mm jack or USB Type-C connection but has fast charging abilities. The OnePlus 3T has a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels screen resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and Oxygen OS. The iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen with same resolution. However, it also has Ion-strengthened glass with oleophobic coating, display zoom and 3D Touch display & home button.

The OnePlus 3T runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with planned upgrade to v7.0 (Nougat). It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip and Adreno 530 GPU. The Apple iPhone 7 Plus runs on iOS 10.0.1, upgradable to iOS 10.2, has an Apple A10 Fusion chip and six-core graphics. Both don't have microSD card slots. The OnePlus 3T comes in 64/128 GB internal storage variants with 6GB RAM, reviews GSMArena.

The iPhone 7 Plus has a 3GB RAM and 32/128/256 GB internal storage options. While the OnePlus 3T come with a non-removable Li-Ion 3,400 mAh battery, the Apple iPhone 7 Plus is powered by a Non-removable Li-Ion 2,900 mAh battery. The Apple iPhone 7 Plus has a better camera with dual 12 MP camera, OIS, 4K video recording and quad LED true tone flash. OnePlus 3T has a 16MP primary camera with OIS.

In terms of front camera performance, the OnePlus 3T handset outperforms Apple iPhone 7 Plus with a 16MP front shooter compared to a 7MP system in the Apple handset. However, the overall image quality of both phones appears to have very little difference.
