Despite of being built around its own Android-based operating system, Amazon Kindle Fire has enjoyed comparably higher success than Android tablets. The tablet is, at the moment, available in U.S. alone. However, a new notion is hitting blogosphere today indicating that Kindle Fire is headed to Europe and may release as soon as this summer.

According to All Things Digital, the Seattle-based company is gearing up to launch Amazon Appstore in Europe indicating that the tablet will follow the footsteps soon. Like Kindle Fire, Amazon Appstore is also only available in U.S. At the release time, Amazon Kindle Fire surprised us with its sales. Finishing an explosive debut quarter, Kindle Fire captured around 14% of tablet market in U.S. But in 2012, the sales are dropping and as a result, Amazon is marching towards other markets to seek growth.

Originally, Amazon Appstore was launched in March last year, eight months before the release of tablet. To launch its app store in fresh territory, Amazon has to make fresh agreements with content providers for music, movies and books. Underground reports suggest that Amazon has been working for long to bring the Amazon Appstore to Europe.

Currently, Amazon has six dedicated Web sites for European users, specifically for UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Austria. So, these six European countries are believed to be first to receive the popular Amazon tablet.

The Kindle Fire packs a 7-inch display with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The tablet runs on dual-core 1 GHz processor with 512MB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage but lacks microSD card slot. The tablet runs a customized version of Android operating system, which is identical to Android v2.3 Gingerbread. Unfortunately, there is no camera in the tablet.

The tablet is likely to be priced under 200 Euros and can hit European shores anytime from late summer to Christmas this year.
