Christmas is almost here and it seems like even the dwellers of Bethesda's popular mobile application game, "Fallout Shelter," are also celebrating the festive season. The game developer has now officially rolled out its latest update that brings the Christmas spirit into the post-apocalyptic wasteland of "Fallout."

As can be seen on the latest Twitter post by Bethesda, fans who have already downloaded the latest "Fallout Shelter" update will see some significant texture changes for the vaults. To be more specific, it adds new decorations to the rooms like a Christmas tree and lights.

The festive season wouldn't be complete without someone dressing up as Saint Nicholas - or commonly and famously known as Santa Claus - or even his trusted, hardworking elves. Luckily, Bethesda has also included these costumes in the latest "Fallout Shelter" update.

Unfortunately, it is unclear if these new costumes will provide some stat boosts for the dwellers wearing it - or any other special attribute bonuses for that matter.

Another interesting - albeit quite mysterious - addition that the developer included is the Holiday-themed quests. Unfortunately, GameSpot reported that Bethesda has yet to reveal anything specific regarding this new added feature. More news and updates regarding the matter should emerge in the coming days.

While all of this sounds really exciting, fans should also take note that the festive decorations - and probably even the Holiday-themed quests - are only available for a limited time. Furthermore, the developer hasn't announced anything as to when it will end.

Considering the circumstances, it is safe to presume that the update will only run for a few more weeks - at least until the season is up. With that in mind, fans are being advised to jump in on the party sooner rather than later.

Bethesda's "Fallout Shelter" is available on the Android Google Play Store and Apple's iOS store as a free-to-play game.
