Samsung fanboys are waiting breathlessly for the company’s latest flagship smartphone – the Galaxy S3 – to release in the U.S. market. The device is reportedly coming to all major network carriers in the U.S. by the end of this month or in the first week of July. However, there is a danger that it might meet the similar fate of HTC EVO 4G LTE as Apple wants to stop the Android super phone from entering the country.

Apple is accusing the Korean tech giant of violating so called "data tapping" patent with Galaxy S3. And if things go in favor of Apple again, the Galaxy S3 may get pulled from shelves before it hits the market. The disputed technology allows a smartphone to recognize information like phone number, e-mail address and home address within text and copy the highlighted data to other apps like dialer, calendar or mapping app.

According to Foss Patents, the preliminary injunctions have been filed. On the other hand, Samsung claims that Apple cannot stop Galaxy S3 from reaching stores by its pending preliminary injunctions.

"If Apple wishes to seek an injunction against the Galaxy S III, the Court should require Apple to file a new motion and allow the parties to develop a full factual record on all four factors. Accordingly, the Court should reject Apple's motion to amend its current notice of motion for a preliminary injunction," said Samsung.

The blog site also claimed on Wednesday that Apple is seeking immediate ban on as many as 29 Android smartphones manufactured by HTC. Earlier HTC One X and HTC EVO 4G LTE were held at U.S. Customs due to violating the same patent, while the shipments were released as the Taiwanese mobile major removed the disputed technology from its smartphone. However, Apple is accusing that HTC only modified the technology rather than completely removing it.
