On Pokemon Go's official Twitter account, it was stated that Pokemon Go players will be able to find more Pokemon in parks and other places within rural and urban areas --- effective immediately.

PokeStops are mostly few and located far away from establishments, thus making Pokemon especially rare and hard to come by in the countryside. This update is deemed a good news for Pokemon Go players out there, which addresses a long-time issue with Pokemon Go wherein one should go outside and find Pokemon in the real world no matter the distance.

Pokemons are usually apt to appear in populated areas. Reddit users have also discovered that wild Pokemon spawn rates are likely related to population density; doing so shoves players to public places and discourages people from trespassing on private properties. Go turns some landmarks into PokéStops and Gyms to attract Pokemon, too --- some of which include streets, churches, temples, statues, and monuments. However, players may not have much to do in this mobile game if any of these isn't around.

Winter is coming and it's going to be pretty much cold all over the country, particularly in those few locations who'll be starting to receive more Pokemon. Niantic, the game developer, is trying to counter this by making indoor retail outlets into PokeStops such as Starbucks and Sprint stores. This update however, only applies to locations with chilly outdoors, according to Polygon.

In addition, Pokemon Go players who go to the nearest participating Starbucks branch can get a particular one-of-a-kind item: the Pokemon Go Frappuccino Blended Beverage. Starbucks will reportedly sell an actual version of the drink during the winter event. The said drink is vanilla bean-flavored with raspberry syrup, freeze-dried blackberries, and whipped cream, according to Starbucks.

Indeed, going out even on winter and playing Pokemon Go would be a good exercise. It's also worth noting that the new second-gen Pokemon added into the game last week are only Pokemon eggs, which players must walk around with to hatch.
