The highly anticipated horror game "Resident Evil 7" is best played on Sony's powerful Playstation 4 Pro, that is if you have cash to spare.

Speaking to GamingBolt, "Resident Evil 7" producer Masachika Kawata said that the PS4 Pro is the "ideal" console to play the upcoming game in due to its enhanced GPU.

"As long as the players wallet allows it, I think having the player play on the PS4 Pro really is the ideal environment someone wants to experience the game in," Kawata said.

The "Resident Evil 7" producer, who has worked in Capcom since 1995 and has been involved in the "Resident Evil" series for a long time, also said that fans should also play the game using the Playstation VR, as it is a great way to "immerse yourself in the environment".

Some who have tried "Resident Evil 7" on the Playstation VR had a few issues with it, citing the dreaded VR sickness during this year's E3 demo, as Endgadget experienced. This was apparently fixed due to feedback, and the controls were changed to avoid players from being nauseous.

Nausea and motion sickness aside, many publications have praised "Resident Evil 7"'s VR gameplay. UploadVR's Jamie Feltham reported that the demo is so scary on VR that he wouldn't want to play it anymore when the full game comes out.

Technobuffalo reported that playing "Resident Evil 7" on VR is where the true experience is, and ig highly recommended for thosw who are looking for a good scare. The game is a departure from the recent action-oriented "Resident Evil" titles, and the franchise is definitely looking to go back to its horror roots.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be released on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 24, 2017, and will be fully playable on PlayStation VR from start to finish.
