Apple's awaited AirPods are finally out for sale and available for shipping. The company officially announced the wireless earphones' availability just last Tuesday.

After months of delayed shipments since it was introduced last September, the AirPods are finally available. In Apple's official website, the in-ear audio device costs $159 dollars.

Earlier reports indicated that the AirPods will be available before Christmas on December 22. Instead, the wireless headphones will ship 4 weeks after placing your order online.

The AirPods resemble a larger wireless version of Apple's EarPods. According to the Cupertino-based company, the Bluetooth headset can play up to 5 hours on a single charge. It's also placed on a case that holds 24 hours of extra charge and can work with other non-Apple devices. It's powered by a W1 chip that ensures good sound quality and a better Bluetooth connectivity.

The AirPods Could Be The Best Bluetooth Headset To Date

So far, the AirPods have already garnered good reviews. According to Rolling Stone's AirPod review, the headset surpasses a lot of competitors with its crisp and clear sound quality. The Bluetooth headset also connects to iOS devices faster than traditional wireless audio devices. The Pods are touch-sensitive, as well as enables one to easily command Siri by just tapping the earpiece.

But while consumers can finally have the AirPods, several fans are doubting its long-term use. The earpiece does have some flaws and consumer-turned experts have already weighed in.

Some do not generally like its style, doubting if it can hold in your ear without falling off. Others are also concerned on the possibility of losing one AirPod outdoors. The good thing is that many companies are now offering tethering solutions to prevent its loss.

Fans are hopeful that the AirPods release won't be for a limited run only. People who have already pre-ordered online will have to wait at least 4 weeks for the latest gadget.
