After it was announced in September 2016, the Apple AirPods are finally here. But before deciding whether or not you should buy these weird-looking earphones, let us take a look at what CNET has to say about this product.

Apple Airpods sound quality

According to the report, there is not much any difference from the EarPods in terms of quality. The only problem is that AirPods fit in ears vary from one person to another. Therefore, if it's not snug enough in your ear, you may have trouble with noise when you're listening to music outdoors. It is more suitable using it inside quiet places like the office.

Software

With Apple's custom Bluetooth chip, W1, paring the AirPods to your device is almost effortless. It automatically detects your device when they are close to each other, all you have to do is confirm if you want to pair it or not. This works with Apple devices that are running iOS 10. Depending on the app that you are listening to, it the music automatically pauses when you take an AirPod out of your ear, and continues when you put it back. You can also disable this feature in the settings menu.

Battery life

Additionally, you won't be having any problems when it comes to battery life. Apple stated that you will get three hours of battery life from a 15-minute charge, which is pretty impressive according to appleinsider. You can also listen to one AirPod in mono while you are charging the other piece.

The only draw backs in this product is the design and its size, which can be off-setting when your using it because it looks like you're wearing hipster earrings. What do you think of the AirPods? Share your comments below.
