Adding to the growing list of pains and disappointments of Pokemon Fans all over the world is the recent update to Pokemon Go which is supposed to introduce much coveted Pokemons in the game. Several speculations have been posted in different Pokemon Go update pages as to which Pokemons will be added in the game, some even claimed that rare or legendary Pokemons from the Gen 1 roster will be added. However, the long awaited update failed to impress Pokemon fans as it did not even came close to the hype it created when the Pokemon Go update was announced.

The update's failure to meet the expectations of Pokemon Go Fans is but a small problem of Niantic as numerous of Pokemon Go players have already stated that Pokemon Go is getting boring. The excitement generated by the announcement of the Pokemon Go update may be a success in the marketing standpoint for Niantic, however, the actual update is but another blow to its attempt to attract more players while maintaining its current player base. Instead of introducing the much hyped legendary Pokemons, the guys from Niantic merely unveiled baby Pokemons as Christmas gifts for Pokeman Go players.

The update added into the game baby Pokemons, such as Pichu (baby Pikachu), Smoochum (baby Jynx), and the super cute Igglypuff (baby Jigglypuff). These baby Pokemons may only be hatched from eggs and cannot be caught in the wild. Tyrogue, which may evolve into Hitmontop, Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan depending on its stats is also said to be on the recent Pokemon Go update. Although Niantic is tight lipped if other Pokemons were added in the update, current consensus in different Pokemon Go player sites is that the update has nothing more to offer than the baby Pokemons.

If Niantic's plan in this recent update is to entice younger players to play Pokemon Go then such attempt may be laudable, however, this may put a dent on the current number of young adult avid Pokemon Go players.
