One of the hottest rumors around regarding the "Final Fantasy" series is that Square-Enix will be releasing all games in the franchise to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series. Will "Final Fantasy VII: Remake" and "Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" be taking the spotlight?
In a recent post from Gaming Instincts, the talk about the series' 30th anniversary leads to a lot of hearsay regarding the remake of the most popular title in the series, "Final Fantasy VII." On top of this, there's also speculations about "Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" as well as the original "Final Fantasy XIII" trilogy tagging along.
Rumors say that these titles will be running on 1080p and in buttery smooth 60 frames per second for the PlayStation 4. Below is the full list of titles supposedly included in the rumored "Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Collection:"
Final Fantasy I
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy IV
Final Fantasy V
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VII (PC Port Version)
Final Fantasy VIII (PC Port Version)
Final Fantasy IX (PC Port Version)
These titles are to be released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita via Single Disc/Card.
There are said to be three versions of the bundle according to VGLeaks. The Regular Edition includes the games as well as some poster. The Collector's Edition includes the games, an 8-bit Black Mage keychain, a Chocobo plush and soundtrack discs by Nobuo Uematsu.
The best bundle called the Crystal Complete Edition includes everything mentioned plus "Final Fantasy XIV" up to the latest expansion. There's also the "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" and "Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV" movies as well as the full episodes of "Brotherhood: Final Fantasy XV."
With regards to both "Final Fantasy XV" and "Final Fantasy VII Remake" being released for the PC, there are some speculations, but most of these rumors point to a mid-2018 release. This could still be taken as a grain of salt given the fashion that the "Final Fantasy XIII" PC release had and the gap between the console and PC versions.
