Niantic had Pokémon Go enthusiasts on edge with their recent announcement. The company promised players that something big is coming to the game's latest update. But so far, it has been reportedly a disappointment for those who are still playing the game amidst the dwindling hype for it.

Pokémon Go Latest Update: Players Have To Hatch New Pokémon

Weeks of speculations has put a lot of pressure on Niantic regarding their new Pokémon Go update. Several rumors have indicated that the update would add Legendary Gen 1 Pokémon into the roster. Fans also debated the possibility of rolling out new Pokémon from the Gold and Silver editions --- which, according to Forbes, is not even close.

Despite heavy speculations on 100 new characters being added to this update, only a handful of Gen 2 Pokémon made it to the roster. Millions of Pokémon Go players have also discovered that the new characters will not appear in the wild. Instead, the Gen 2 creatures --- including Togepi and Pichu --- will have to hatch from eggs.

There's also a possibility that the limited edition Pikachus, wearing festive hats will come in a Christmas Event. But so far, no official announcement has come out yet from creators Niantic and The Pokémon Company.

Pokémon Go Latest Update: Pokémon Go Plus Not Available After Announcement

In other news, fans of the Pokémon Go Plus accessory were in for another disappointment. After a December 12 announcement for the Pokémon accessory, two of the world's top retail sellers has stopped giving pre-orders for the accessory.

After checking Best Buy and Amazon, fans have stumbled upon two things: Best Buy's webpage declaring the Pokémon Go Plus already sold out and the accessory's unavailability in Amazon. Upon investigation, it seems enthusiasts who want to pre-order the accessory will have to wait for another official announcement.

We have yet to receive an offical announcement from the creators of Pokémon Go Plus. Hopefully, this will all be sorted out as soon as possible.
