Samsung has released yet another phone in the mid-range market, the Galaxy J2 Pro. It will run directly against the likes of the Redmi Note 3. Let us see how well they go against each other.
The Redmi Note 3 has a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1,080x1,920 pixels with 401 ppi pixel density, while the Galaxy J2 Pro sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with 1,280x720 pixels (293 ppi pixel density).
The Galaxy J2 Pro is fueled by a Spreadtrum SC8830 processor, while the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor.
Talking about the OS, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop-fueled with its MIUI skin on the top, while Galaxy J2 Pro runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Samsung's very own TouchWiz interface.
Both of these two gadgets come stuffed with a 16GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB through a microSD card and 2GB RAM.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a 16MP main camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDA (Phase Detection Autofocus) and double LED (double tone) flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro has an 8MP main camera LED flash, autofocus and f/2.2 opening, and a 5MP front snapper with a f/2.2 aperture.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a 4,000mAh, and the Galaxy J2 Pro has a 2,600mAh battery. Here, in the aspect of batter, the Redmi Note 3 leaves the J2 Pro far behind. The battery segment may be a significant influence on people who are looking forward to buying a phone in the mid-range segment.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note three has a better display, processor, camera, and battery over the Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro. Samsung's mid-range phones, when contrasted with other brands, are mediocre in nature.
