Bethesda has launched a new patch update for the PlayStation 4 and PC version of "Skyrim Special Edition," which brings bug fixes and improvements to the game. However, it looks like the latest patch has not addressed the persistent crash issues experienced by some players.

According to Gamespot, the new 1.2 patch update has brought improvements to the mod browsing experience on both PC and PS4, and fixed an annoying bug where the game reportedly crashes when transforming from werewolf back to human form.

However, there were a lot of other instances where the game crashes as well, which was reportedly brought upon by the previous patch. The 1.1 patch only included minor fixes such as resolving issues with the downgraded audio, NPC glitches, among others.

The crashes were also said to be not connected to the game's mods, as the crashes happen with or without mods installed.

Bethesda has said at the time that it will investigate and find a fix, although it is not yet clear if the latest patch will fix these other crashes. Some players on Steam are still experiencing crashes, despite downloading the new patch.

"My game crashes as soon as the Jarl of Whiterun stands up to go to his court wizard," a Steam user commented. "I have tried it with a different character but the same thing happens. It hasn't been fixed from this update unfortunately."
