T-Mobile is taken seriously when it comes to carrier availability of Samsung Galaxy S3 across the U.S. In the UK, T-Mobile will offer Samsung Galaxy S3 (or Samsung Galaxy SIII) for £49.99 on two year Full Monty plan. On the other hand, T-Mobile's U.S. version of Galaxy S3, codenamed "T999", is expected to release in upcoming few weeks. But a new T-Mobile smartphone - Samsung SGH-T699 - has appeared in User Agent string, indicating that another Samsung device is coming to the carrier.

As reported by TmoNews, the T699 conjures up the idea of a mid-range smartphone, which is in fact what the Galaxy Nexus is. The detailed User Agent string indicates that the device is based on ARM 11 CPU architecture and has a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. On T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy S3 has been marked as "SGH-T999" and Galaxy Note as "SGH-T879".

What could T699 be? With 720p display, it is clearly not a tablet. The model number - T699 - is lower than both Galaxy Note and Galaxy S3. So it is neither a flagship model. Possibly the mysterious device is Samsung Galaxy Nexus as Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Nexus are the only Samsung smartphones to feature 720p display.

We cannot fathom why is T-Mobile releasing Galaxy Nexus at this time. Possibly, T-Mobile wants to offer Galaxy Nexus as an alternative ICS smartphone to Galaxy S3? Could it be that Galaxy Nexus is losing some of its magic sparkle and hence T-Mobile could be positioning it as a cheaper alternative to Galaxy S3?

Reportedly, Sprint has cut down Galaxy Nexus prices to $99, which is $100 lower than previous prices. Sprint is also offering $50 Google Wallet credit to new consumers.

Likewise, T-Mobile may also roll out Galaxy Nexus with a price tag of $99. Samsung Galaxy Nexus is currently available on Sprint and Verizon, though an AT&T variant of Galaxy Nexus is also rumored.
