The previous episode of "Agents of SHIELD" left viewers with a cliffhanger, particularly the lives of Leo Fitz, Phil Coulson, and Robbie Reyes hanging in the balance. Episode 7 might return with one or two missing lead characters as Gabriel Luna confirms the "Ghost Rider" spin-off series on Netflix.

The episode 6 last November showcased the origin story of Robbie Reyes' transition into Ghost Rider. It also ended with a cliffhanger in which the trio including Fitz and Coulson were disappeared outside the compartment after Eli blasted a bright light.

While most viewers assume that the three characters are safe somewhere. Forbes speculates that "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 episode 7 will see the ghosts of Fitz and Coulson, or viewers will not be seeing them until March next year. The publication adds that their disappearance can become the "crux" of the remaining episodes.

In addition to their disappearance, Doctor Strange just introduced the idea of alternate dimensions to Marvel Cinematic Universe. So it can be possible that Coulson and Fitz might not be in the "plane of existence" during the next episode of "Agents of SHIELD" Season 4.

However, fans should not be worried as to the fate of the trio. As per CarterMatt, "Agents of SHIELD" is not fond of killing of many of its lead characters. This idea is even supported by actor Clark Gregg during an interview, saying that "the more sophisticated audience members will suspect that Coulson may not be dead in episode 6 of season 4 ... and probably the same goes for Fitz and young Robbie Reyes."

On the other hand, ComicBook revealed that the "Ghost Rider" spin-off series can possibly be a thing. In an interview by the publication, actor Gabriel Luna said that the pathways for the franchise are already structured. However, it is yet to confirm if the anticipated series will be going to Netflix, as what fans commonly suggested.

"Agents of SHIELD" Season 4 is still on hiatus, but will certainly return on November 29 with Episode 7.
