"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" Season 4 mid-season finale ended with a Ghost Rider story as Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) and his Uncle Eli Morrow (Jose Zuniga) have a climatic argument and the two just simply disappeared in a flash. It was said that the episode was a showdown, a romance and at the same time a revelation.

As the series returns on screen next year a lot of exciting scenes are expected by fans. Reports are rife that the Episode 9 will focus more on the LMD or Life-Model-Decoys plot. Aida is said to have made a few developments on herself and that she might be more powerful than ever.

Moreover, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Luna hinted that he might comeback as the TV show continues.

"I'm very proud of my crew, the cast, all of us, for helping build this character because they seem to really love it. I'm not too worried about it being finite at this point," he said.

"Agent Phil Coulson comes in and drops knowledge like a clumsy librarian, as he tends to do, and lifts her (Daisy) spirits and says to her, 'I don't think this is the last we'll see of him (Ghost Rider),' so that's a good sign for everyone who loves the Ghost Rider," the actor continued.

Though the series is set to return next year, the network will air a digital spin-off entitled "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Slingshot" with six episodes starting December 13, giving more attention to the Inhuman character Yo-Yo.

Meanwhile, there were rumors suggesting that the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" might not be renewed for the fifth season due to low-ratings. Also, it was reported that the showrunners decided to push for its spin-off. However, some reports state that Season 5 is now in the works and might offer a more exciting plot. This has still to be verified, anyway.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" Season 4, resumes on Jan. 10 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
