The iPad Pro 2 is one of the highly anticipated Apple devices. However, despite the demand, latest reports suggested that the new tablet is not likely to launch soon as the company is rumored to highlight their iPhone 8 next year. With this, its release date might be moved to 2018.

Previously, it has been reported that the upcoming Apple tablet will be released on 2017 since it has already been a year since the company has launched their iPad Pro. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously released reports about the Apple's iPad lineup, wherein he said that there will be new iPads to be released next year.

Rumors are rife that the anticipated tablet device might come out in three variants, the 12.9 inch, 9.7 inch, and 10.5 inch, while some claimed that there are only two versions as the 10.5inch will replace the 9.7 inch iPad Pro.

Moreover, the device is expected to pack an A10X processor which is said to perfrom better than its predecessor. However, the one tablet which is considered the smallest is reportedly powered by the previous A9X chipset which makes it a low-cost option.

The upcoming device is expected to have a flexible AMOLED panel.

"If Apple can truly tap the potential of a flexible AMOLED panel, we we believe the new iPad model will offer new selling points through radical form factor design and user behavior changes, which could benefit shipments," Kuo said as reported by Macrumors.

The iPad Pro 2 is said to be water and dust resistant and might sport a True Tone display. In addition, it is rumored to consist 4k video recording through 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

The tablet device is also said to pack a new battery technology that will last up to 10 hours and is said to feature 3D Touch functionality together with a Smart Connector.

It is also speculated to sport a 5k display with 5120 x 2880 resolution and might include an internal GPU that helps boost low-powered Macs to achieve the possible display property.

Apple, on the other hand is yet to provide details regarding the release date of its upcoming iPad Pro 2.
