While we already know that "Friday The 13th The Game" is pushed back to 2017, this isn't all that bad as we can expect bigger things -- not just the single player mode, but possibly even more.

"Friday The 13th The Game" and its Kickstarter campaign, though with the cult following, wasn't able to reach a particular stretch goal that it had to ace for gamers to experience the single player mode. Still, Gun Media and Ill Fonic were generous enough to let the fans have it, but with an expense of having the title's release date pushed back to 2017.

The video above shows that the developers behind the game are already hard at work in making the game even more violent as Jason Voorhees' kill move selection increases.

Kane Hodder, head of the motion capture team, emphasizes that the game's goal is to be as extremely gory as possible that it meets his preferences on how hardcore games should be. "Friday The 13th The Game" is a title that fans can expect to replicate the retrospective slasher horror feel.

Below's the official statement from the developers' Kickstarter community page.

"We want everyone to be assured that coming to our decision to delay was no easy matter, but we believe that the positives far outweigh the negatives," said Wes Kelter, co-founder of Gun Media, in a release. "We've been reading day in and day out on our social media feeds that single player and Tommy Jarvis were in such a demand that we couldn't ignore our fans. After securing funding, we're here to tell you that it is a reality and we're making this game even bigger. It sucks that there's a delay, but the wait won't be too long and it's going to offer more for fans in the long-run!"

"Friday The 13th The Game" is expected to be out in summer of 2017, though it could possibly be earlier depending on how its development work out. Still, the team behind the game assured that there will be beta versions give fans an early access to how the game will look like in its final release.
