Fans of the "Crash Bandicoot" series would probably be surprised to find out that the lovable marsupial had an actual speaking role in Netflix show "Skylanders Academy."
Except for that one video where he said "pancakes" (check out the video below), and another old TV advertisement, Crash has never uttered a word during almost all his games.
So fans are quite surprised that in his appearance on the "Skylanders" Netflix show, he spoke in full sentences, explaining that Doctor Cortex is planning to take over his world before he was sucked into the "Skylanders" universe. True to his bandicoot lineage, he spoke in a notable Australian accent. Check out the video below.
In other news, while Sony did not specify an exact release date for the much anticipated "Crash Bandicoot Remastered" PS4 game, a recent leak may have pointed fans to a February 2017 release date.
Finnish retailer VPD.fi has listed the "Crash Bandicoot Remastered" bundle on their site for a Feb. 28, 2017 release, according to Rectify Gaming. The site also noted that the date is also the same launch date of another highly anticipated PS4 exclusive adventure game, "Horizon Zero Dawn."
We should also clarify that the date indicated on the listing may simply be a site placeholder, a common practice among online retailers.
On the other hand, news about the remaster's delay has surfaced, which is linked to the recent voice actor strikes happening. The union, SAG-AFTRA, released a list of projects that its members are no longer allowed to work on, and Activision, who is the publisher for "Crash Bandicoot Remastered," is included in the list.
Another highly anticipated title, Square Enix's "Kingdom Hearts 2.8," is also on the list, under Disney Character Voices Inc, while Take-Two Interactive is working on a secret project under the codename "Alligator."
Will the "Crash Bandicoot Remaster" be out in February next year, or will it be affected by the strike? Either way, more information about the "Crash Bandicoot" remasters are expected to surface at this year's Playstation Experience, which will take place in Anaheim on Dec. 3 and 4.
