Niantic Labs has recently expanded its augmented reality game "Pokémon GO" to a handful of other countries, but there are still no news about any release dates for India, China, and South Korea.

Last week, Niantic Labs added a whopping thirty one countries to the list, which are mostly from the African continent: Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Chad, Gabon, Sao Tome and Principe, Egypt, Morocco, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, Niger, Sierra Leone, and Togo.

While the developer expanded to a lot of countries recently, India, China and South Korea, which houses a lot of large gaming communities, are still getting the snub from Niantic Labs.

Despite specifically recognizing India in one of Niantic Labs' blog posts about "Pokémon GO," the country is yet to experience the popular AR game.

Other countries like China and South Korea are also still waiting for Niantic for release date updates, although the delay may be attributed to these countries' respective privacy and mapping issues.

According to Gamesindustry.biz, Pokémon Co. President and CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara recognized China and South Korea's strong gaming market, and is keen on rolling out "Pokémon GO" in these countries as soon as all issues are sorted out.

The bad news is, the game's hype may have already faded even before it reaches China, South Korea and India shores. According to a survey conducted by YouGov (via IB Times), the once popular game is continuing to lose its spark among people.

According to the survey, 25 percent said that the hype over "Pokémon GO" will last four to six months, while 23 percent think it can last for one to three months. 21 percent of the respondents is optimistic that the game can go up to six months to one year.

The respondents mostly came from countries like Australia, Thailand and China, while a huge amount of surveys also came from Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

"Pokémon GO"'s dwindling popularity can be attributed to the game's lack of quality content, which is now being resolved gradually by Niantic Labs. There is no date for the patch release yet, but Nianic said that "Pokémon GO" version 0.41.2 for Android and 1.11.2 for iOS will roll out shortly.
