The latest reports on the Android Nougat operating system suggested that the release date of the 7.1 version update is expected to happen by the end of October.
It is reported that after its release, the new Android 7.1 Nougat update will be available to the Google Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P as well as the Pixel C smartphones. Few reports claimed that the upcoming update will also be made available to other range of smartphones like the HTC 10.
To add on to that, Motoring Crunch stated that HTC 10 might be the first non-Google phone variant to receive the Android 7.1 update by the end of this month. Furthermore, reports suggested that other Android devices like HTC 10 Lifestyle, One M9, and One A9 are expected to receive the Nougat 7.1 update December 2016.
Also, the Samsung smartphones are also expected to receive the update in early 2017, reported iSports Times. Currently, the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system is available on the recently release Google Pixel smartphones.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the new Android Nougat OS update will provide the users with excellent new features focused on enhancing the user experience and providing them with excellent device performance.
It is stated that the 7.1 Android Nougat update will feature Daydream VR support, as well as more functionally enhanced device applications. Reports claimed that the new update will also provide the Android phone users with custom shortcuts and image keyboard support. Also, rumors suggested that the users will also be able to dump the unused files and thus free up space on the device.
Besides, it is touted that the Android Nougat update will also sport many new APIs that will allow the customers to use the device for multi-endpoint calling and telephonic configuration.
