Night Dive Studios has finally confirmed that "Turok 2" is currently in development, which has made longtime fans of the franchise excited.

"We're well aware of the demand for 'Turok 2' and it is still in development...in fact we started development just shortly after the launch of the first 'Turok'," Night Dive Studios technical, QA and community manager Daniel Grayshon said on Steam. "'Turok 2' is a bigger game, more enemies, more weapons, more locations and most importantly...'Turok 2' had Multiplayer."

While "Turok 2"'s multiplayer feature is enough to get the fans excited, some are also asking for more new features to be added to the remastered version. Here are a few of these suggestions, taken from both the Turok Forums and over at the Steam Community.

Level Editor

Fans want to have a level editor for "Turok 2," the same feature seen on other games like "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim"'s Creation Kit, "Doom"'s aptly named Doom Builder, and the built-in level creators in the "Halo" titles

Mods

The first "Turok" has mod support, so it is highly likely that Night Dive Studios will be giving "Turok 2" the same feature.

Single-player Weapons To Be Available In Multiplayer

Another popular suggestion in the forums is to make all single-player weapons available to use in multiplayer as well. Some have also hoped that Night Dive improves the multiplayer aspect of the game even more, implementing better aim and no lag.

Co-op Survival Mode

A forumer also suggested adding a co-op survival mode in "Turok 2," something similar to "Resident Evil" Mercenaries mode.

Third-Person Mode

Since "Turok 2" is a first-person game, some have suggested an option to switch to third-person view, much like "Skyrim" and other games.

Smooth 60FPS Gameplay

Fans of "Turok" are expecting the remastered version of "Turok 2" to run smoothly on PC, and it looks like Night Dive Studios is also working towards the same goal.

"In our quest to bring you the most authentic experience at the highest quality level available," the developer said, "we've decided to give 'Turok 2' the love it deserves and release the game 'when it's done'."
