With PlayStation 4 Pro already released, fans and gamers are now only waiting on the next big thing from Microsoft and Nintendo, which are the Nintendo NX and the Project Scorpio. But which one is getting the advantage in terms of features, release and capabilities?

With these comparisons, one of the most researched factor is the release date. In this regard, it would seem that the Project Scorpio from Microsoft is getting the advantage. For one, Nintendo hasn't released any information regarding the NX.

Rumors about Project Scorpio, as PC Advisor reported, is that the console will be releasing snext year. However, with Phil Spencer hinting that it would be somewhere around December 2017, chances are, Microsoft has more time to work on itNintendo NX is rumored to be releasing on the first quarter of 2017 despite the lack of "identity" that it really needs right now.

Going down to the beefier factor, which is the processing power, as of right now it is believed that the Project Scorpio will be able to play native 4K resolution titles (unlike PlayStation 4 Pro's upscaled), will have VR support and will be powered by a powerful graphics unit from AMD that could even rival the GTX 970.

4K gaming might not make it with the upcoming Nintendo NX as a "trusted" source from reddit suggests, though it could play games on full HD at 60 fps. Because Nintendo haven't made the tiniest update regarding the development progress, nobody can still tell whether it will be powered by AMD or NVidia.

With all these technical mumbo-jumbo, it may still boil down to two things and that would be the price and the games. The Xbox Project Scorpio gets and estimate price of $650 to $750 and this is still without the VR headset. The Nintendo NX, on the other hand, is rumored to be getting a price of $299 to $399.

The other thing would be the titles. Knowing Nintendo and Microsoft's history, it is extremely rare to find games that are made available on both consoles from the two companies in the past. The selection of games could either make or break the consoles.

Hopefully, we get more updates on these consoles in the coming days, especially about the elusive Nintendo NX.
