"Steven Universe" creator Rebecca Sugar just confirmed her attendance at the upcoming New York Comic Con (NYCC). This year's NYCC will take place on Oct. 6 to Oct. 9 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
With this, many fans are hoping to hear new subtle elements and spoilers, as well as the possible return date for "Steven Universe" season 4. It can be recalled that the hit animated television series all of a sudden went into a hiatus after its seventh episode, dubbed "Onion Gang," after it aired on Sept. 15.
Talks about "Steven Universe's" hiatus came after Zap2It did not update its schedule for the following weeks. The speculation increased when fans found out that there is no news about what the next episode will be and when it will hit the airwaves.
Nonetheless, fans are hopeful that the fourth season of "Steven Universe" will return at some point in November. According to a thread on Reddit, the next episode, tentatively titled "Gem Harvest," would hit the airwaves on the Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24.
It is believed that the said episode would include a flashback scene about a Thanksgiving celebration between the people of Beach City and the Crystal Gems. However, the prediction should be taken with a grain of salt since nothing has been set in stone yet.
Meanwhile, the titles of the shorts episode of "Steven Universe" season 4 have been released - "Crying Breakfast Friends Reaction Vid," "Lion Patiently Narrates Steven Cooking," "Gem Karaoke," "Steven's Song Time," and "Video Chat with Peridot and Lapis." It is worth noting that all five of these shorts will make up one full episode of "Steven Universe" season 4.
Created by Rebecca Sugar for Cartoon Network, "Steven Universe" takes after a half-Gem, Steven, who befriends with three magical humanoid aliens, namely Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet. Together, they help the Gems in protecting the world from their own kind.
