More secrets were slated to unfold in the next season of "One Punch Man." Latest reports claimed that the much-awaited season 2 will be all about the origin of the most powerful hero alive, Saitama.
Saitama's secretive past will presumably the center of focus in "One Punch Man" season 2, HNGN reported. The next season may also provide answers to the many questions about how the hero-for-fun achieved his unprecedented strength.
Not much is known about Saitama, although it was revealed that he persevered through 100 sit-ups, 100 push-ups, and 100 squats alongside a 10km run. As a result, he suddenly lost his hair.
Apart from Saitama's backstory, the second season of "One Punch Man" will reportedly be longer than its predecessor. It is said that the second season of the anime adaptation of the hit-manga will be a full run of 19 episodes, as noted by iTech Post.
Other reports claimed that the second season will also follow the manga's Hero Hunter Arc. In the said saga, the Hero Association ends up under the danger of a familiar character, Garou, who is said to be a former disciple of Bang.
In some ways, Garou can be viewed as the opposite to Saitama. Where the latter wanted to be a hero who battled miscreants from his childhood, Garou apparently wants to be a monster who defeats heroes.
In other news, the staff and cast of "One Punch Man" announced at the "One Punch Man Fall Festival" event on Sept. 25, Sunday, that the series is getting a smartphone game application. The said game app is slated to hit the gaming shelves sooner or later in 2017.
