It looks like the long wait is almost over. Latest reports claimed that "One Punch Man" will return airing sooner or later in October.
It is said that "One Punch Man" season 2 will finally hit the airwaves after the English-dubbed version of the first season ends in Toonami, according to reports. More details about the much-awaited second season will reportedly be released before September ends.
The first season of "One Punch Man," which was aired in Japan from Oct. 5, 2015 until Dec. 21, 2015, pulled in a large number of viewers across the world. In the post-credit scene of the first season, viewers saw Saitama blowing away a mammoth monster with just one punch, remarking "that life is back to one punch defeats."
With that in mind, speculations are rife that Saitama will finally meet his match in the highly anticipated "One Punch Man" season 2.
The upcoming second season, which will presumably cover the Hero Hunter Arc, will have Garou as the primary antagonist. The former disciple of Bang aims to hunt down the series' A-Class and S-Class Heroes, News Everyday reported.
Other predictions suggest that "One Punch Man" season 2 will concentrate more on Saitama's past. In its report, Breathecast claimed that the next season will presumably reveal how the hero-for-fun Saitama reached his unprecedented strength.
It can be recalled that the only notable arc that has been covered in the anime adaptation was the part when Saitama decided to become a hero, as he protected a kid against a monster using his bare hands.
To strengthen his strength and mental resistance, Saitama's training includes 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, and 100 squats, along with a 10km run. He ate three meals a day, but just a banana for breakfast.
As a result of his intense training, Saitama apparently lost all of his hair suddenly and prematurely.
While nothing is impossible, the claims should remain rumors unless an official plot for the upcoming "One Punch Man" season 2 gets released.
