The success of the Korean military romance drama "Descendants of the Sun" resulted in fans asking for another season. Details about the rumored new season have been spread all over the Internet.
Some reports claimed that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will return for their roles as Yoo Si Jin and Kang Mo Yeon, respectively. Moreover, the next sequel will deal more on rumored family of the leading stars characters.
According to insiders, the two lead stars' storyline will revolve around their struggles to balance family life and their careers. The two are said to be more torn between their duties as public servants and as parents. The on-screen couple might also experience issues with their children's safety for the next sequel is reported to be more chaotic and bloody.
In addition, the rumored sequel of the military romance drama will introduce new characters: the children of Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) and Yoo Si Jin (Song Joong Ki), including the rumored third party, Lee Min Ho.
According to new sources, the "Bounty Hunters" actor is going to join the South Korean Special Forces unit of Captain Yoo Si Jin (Song Joong Ki) and he will fall in love with Song Hye Kyo's character, Kang Mo Yeon, after a brief meeting. The said addition of Lee Min Ho in the "Descendants of the Sun" season 2 will reportedly bring more thrill and action.
Insiders added spoilers that Lee Min Ho will comfort Song Hye Kyo's character after Song Joong Ki's character got lost in the midst of war in the upcoming sequel.
Though these spoilers could be true, neither Song Joong Ki, Song Hye Kyo or Lee Min Ho has confirmed anything yet.
Rumors about the spoilers of the much-awaited sequel started when Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki were seen meeting with the "Descendants of the Sun" staff over dinner.
However, there is no official announcement from KBS2 network for "Descendants of the Sun" season 2 yet.
