Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's portrayal as a couple in the hit KBS2's military romance drama had made millions of fans around the world speculate that their romance is not only good on-screen.

Reports are rife that they are in a relationship and are just keeping it from the public's eye. In fact, in Song Joong Ki's birthday, the actor is reportedly going to propose privately to Song Hye Kyo.

The reports added that the actor is "now very much ready to settle down after years of singleness and independence."

However, Song Hye Kyo already denied the dating rumors which started when she was seen having meal together with Song Joong Ki long ago in a report by Soompi.

"I was in New York and was happy to get contacted by Song Joong Ki. That's how we met," the actress said.

The actress even shared that maybe people just viewed it differently because it was New York, clarifying that it was Fashion week when she met Song Joong Ki and also a lot more people aside from him.

"Isn't it funny that we couldn't eat together because of scandal worries despite Song Joong Ki going all the way there, and when we are friends who have worked on a project together for six months?," she added.

Meanwhile, despite Song Hye Kyo denying all dating rumors with Song Joong Ki, fans are still very hopeful that they will end up together in real life especially that new reports claimed that the couple will be reprising their role in the "Descendants of the Sun" season 2.

The two is speculated to return as a married couple with reported bed scenes together in the upcoming sequel.

According to reports, both Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are carefully planning their mature roles together with "Descendants of the Sun" staff and writers.
