Latest reports claimed that Disney Channel's "Gravity Falls" and Adult Swim's "Rick And Morty" may indeed collide sooner or later.
Disney Channel's "Gravity Falls" and Adult Swim's "Rick And Morty" crossover conversations began again after Movie News Guide reported, based on the observation of one fan, this situation has reportedly taken place already. It is said the crossover occurred in an episode of the now-outdated "Gravity Falls."
"There's an episode where the portal in 'Gravity Falls' opens up and a notepad, coffee mug and pencil fly through it, and it goes through a portal in an episode of 'Rick and Morty,'" the fan alleged.
While many are relieved with the news, some fans believed that the "Gravity Falls" x "Rick and Morty" crossover theory appears to be profoundly unrealistic to happen.
Though the crossover between the two hit animated series is pretty cool, Facebook user Bre McMinn believed it was far-fetched since "Gravity Falls" caters to a younger audience, while "Rick and Morty" targets older viewers and uses profanity.
In other news, a fan theory has emerged on Reddit suggesting that "Rick and Morty" season 3 will become darker than ever. In the midst of this year's San Diego Comic-Con, showrunners Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland released an official trailer, giving fans a sneak peek of what's in store in the upcoming season.
In the trailer, Rick Sanchez is seen escaping the Galactic Federation Prison. With that, theories indicate that the Galactic Federation will do anything to catch the genius scientist again.
To do so, a Reddit user strongly speculated that the Galactic Federation will gather all Rick's nemesis. If it turns out to be true, viewers will probably see one or more of the following characters in "Rick and Morty" season 3 - Evil Morty, The Prince of Darkness, Krombopulos Michael, Zeep, Testicle Monsters and the deep-cover agent, Tammy.
However, nothing has been officially confirmed as of this writing. Thus, the claims and predictions should be taken lightly.
