The RNG mechanics will also be getting a revamp to eliminate the frustration it causes players by reducing the gap between random gears and top-of-the line equipment.

The difficulty spike is also one of the concerns that will be getting a treatment in the upcoming update to prevent players from getting stuck on later and harder difficulties due to unbalanced gear drops.

The invite-only public test server will go live this coming September 15 and will be available for all PC players four days after. The technical test will only be available to those who have applied to the Elite Task Force can participate in the public open beta.

There's no word yet as to when console players will get to join the the public test server, but developers are looking for ways to let console owners join the work in improving "The Division."
