Niantic is not done releasing its roster yet as it seems, as latest reports claimed, more Pokémon, new evolution, and buddy system are heading to "Pokémon GO" Gen 2.

It is said that the upcoming Gen 2 will apparently host brand new features that will thoroughly revamp the whole "Pokémon GO" experience. One of these is the new Buddy and Trading System, as per Reddit.

The new feature will allow players to pick their favorite Pokémon to become their buddy, rather than staying in a Poké Ball. By doing so, it will apparently open up unique in-game rewards and experiences for the trainers.

"Buddy Pokémon will appear alongside your Trainer avatar on your profile screen, adding helpful bonuses such as awarding Candy for walking together," the "Pokémon GO" development team said in a statement. "You'll also have the ability to change your Buddy Pokémon at any time."

Apart from that, a major feature, dubbed Baby Pokémon, is widely expected to be introduced. Among the Baby Pokémon coming are "Smoochum", "Pichu", "Elekid" and "Tyrorogue."

In the second generation of "Pokémon GO," certain legacy Pokémon is also widely expected to see some new evolutions. To help players get ready for the "Pokémon GO" Gen 2, a new Pokémon Egg chart has been widely circulated online.

What's more, earlier reports claimed that 100 new Pokémon and more than 86 new moves will reportedly be added to the augmented reality game. Altogether, there will be around 251 Pokémon joining in on the second generation.

With heaps of new Pokémon to get, many fans seemingly cannot wait for the "Pokémon GO" Gen 2. Be sure to stay tuned here for more news and updates.
