Another surprising death was hinted for the seventh season of HBO's "Game of Thrones." Early spoilers and predictions claimed Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey) will kick the bucket in the eagerly anticipated season.
The rumors stemmed from an unnamed reliable source who informed Watchers on the Wall that Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) will make a surprising visit to the Dragonpit, a huge ruin perched in King's Landing, in "Game of Thrones" season 7. It is worth noting that the Dragonpit was used by the House Targaryen to stable their dragons.
Such information apparently confirmed that the Mother of Dragons will finally arrive in King's Landing in the first few episodes of "Game of Thrones" season 7. Avid viewers may recall that the final episode of "Game of Thrones" season 6 showed Daenerys and thousands of her army leaving for King's Landing.
With this, Daenerys will surely go head-to-head against the newly-crowned queen. After Tommen Lannister's (Dean-Charles Chapman) suicide, the latter assumed the Iron Throne under the name of Cersei of the House Lannister, the First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms.
Not long after the news broke out, it is strongly speculated that Daenerys visit to the Dragonpit is just conceivable in the event that she has expelled or even killed Queen Cersei. Adding fuel to the fire, the "Me Before You" actress expressed confidence that Daenerys would go up against Queen Cersei during her previous interview with Entertainment Weekly.
"Basically, I've got ships, I've got manpower, I've got dragons that breathe fire," Clarke calculated. "And I apparently cannot be killed. I don't even have an attractive man who wants to take his shirt off anywhere near me now, so there are no distractions."
While nothing is possible, the rumors should be taken with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned for more "Game of Thrones" news and updates.
