Fans have continued to rally for the incorporation of a twist into the plot of "Star Wars: Episode 8," which might just affect Luke Skywalker, portrayed by Mark Hamill.
What could be this twist? How could it possibly affect the last remaining Jedi?
It can be recalled that at the last part of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," Luke Skywalker finally met Rey (Daisy Ridley).
Since then, several speculations have already been claiming that she could be the daughter of the legendary Jedi Master.
According to Reddit user Abraxadabra, there is a good chance that fans will witness the unexpected plot in "Star Wars: Episode 8" where Luke Skywalker might face his biggest opponent ever.
"What if REY was the villain in the making and Kylo became the hero?" the fan theory read. "What if we find out Luke did kill Reys parents, what if that first rage inside Rey, her emotional attachments to her new friends, etc lead to her downfall? [sic]."
"Luke was able to overcome his late training and draw to the dark, but whos to say Rey could do the same? [sic]," the "Star Wars: Episode 8" theory further pointed out.
Reacting to the post, a certain Vamaslzr wrote, "Rey going bad? Something I have always wanted."
"Kylo is the first character ever who has expressed being 'pulled to the light,'" the said user added. "Every other character has been the opposite, with the dark side being tempting. If they do nothing with this I will be surprised."
If this scenario is indeed happening, the upcoming eighth installment would surely be a lot more exciting, especially if these characters would have longer screen time.
According to Cinema Blend, Luke Skywalker would be given justice in "Star Wars: Episode 8." From less than 10 scenes, he would already have more considering that the new film is expected to highlight him.
Keep posted for more "Star Wars: Episode 8" spoilers, especially those about Luke Skywalker, Rey, and Kylo Ren.
