The latest "Star Wars: Episode 8" fan theory suggested that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) would somehow be switching their roles.
How could this be? There is one speculation claiming that the son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia (Carrie Fisher) might just turn out to be the good guy while the rumored daughter of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) would end up being the anti-hero.
In a Reddit post, abraxadabra said that this personal theory might be unlikely but still, one cannot discount the fact that it is interesting.
It was explained that this "Star Wars: Episode 8" fan theory about Kylo Ren and Rey is possible considering the circumstances that happened in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
"What if REY was the villain in the making and Kylo became the hero? What if we find out Luke did kill Reys parents, what if that first rage inside Rey, her emotional attachments to her new friends, etc lead to her downfall?" the Reddit user pointed out. "Luke was able to overcome his late training and draw to the dark, but whos to say Rey could do the same?"
Abraxadabra further narrated that with the strong pull of light, Kylo Ren might end up becoming the good guy, while Rey, being Palpatine's granddaughter, will unleash the inner bad in her in "Star Wars: Episode 8."
"Think about it, episode 8 lays the groundwork or has the craziest twist ever at the end, with both characters switching sides and culminating in a rematch in episode IX between Kylo and Rey, but now fighting for the other side," the fan added.
Meanwhile, another fan, YouTube user Vincent Vendetta, has a different take on what is expected about Kylo Ren and Rey in "Star Wars: Episode 8," Cinema Blend reported.
With Kylo Ren, a Skywalker, who betrayed his uncle and decided to be with the Dark Side, and Rey, despite being a Palpatine, might have all the courage to escape from her grandfather's shadow to side with The Force, a great fight is expected from them.
