Take a break from Pokemon GO and let's hear out what Pokemon TCG Pocket players have been complaining recently. They find themselves repeating the mission requirements of the latest Wonder Pick event.

The bug is the same one that has surfaced previously in events and hinders the smooth flow of the game for serious gamers wanting to complete their missions quickly.

The Wonder Pick Event Details

Since its release in October 2024, DeNA's Pokémon TCG Pocket has been the center of attention for players through its Wonder Pick events. The latest one dropped last Jan. 6 at 10 PM local time, offering new chances to grab exclusive promo cards. This time, Charmander #32 and Squirtle #33 are in the spotlight, being rare Promo A set cards available through Chansey Picks.

The event features themed missions that reward players with TCG Pocket Shop Tickets. Players are tasked with collecting certain quantities of Charmander and Squirtle cards to achieve specific objectives. However, a glitch has arisen where players who have already obtained the cards before the missions went live are being asked to do so again.

Mission Glitch Frustrates Players

The problem was first reported by Reddit user Arucious, who noticed that cards collected before the mission activation didn't count toward progress. Soon after, dozens of other players echoed similar experiences, confirming the issue affected a significant portion of the player base.

"I got 1 Charmander and 2 Squirtle before the quests went live (yeah I'm surprised too) and it's quite funny. Not that it matters anyway because we'll end up with way too many tickets like every single previous event," one Reddit user wrote.

It's not the first time that Pokémon TCG Pocket has experienced this kind of bug. Reports from other players state that the same problem occurred during previous Wonder Pick events, questioning the game's event synchronization.

Can the Developer Fix it Sooner?

Developer DeNA has not made an official announcement about this bug. However, the studio is known to respond quickly to minor issues.

For example, last month, the Shop freebies disappeared, and the problem was fixed within days. If the past is any indication, the player can expect the bug with this mission requirement to be fixed quickly.

Ample Time to Complete the Missions

In this light, despite the disappointment, players will still have time to finish the requirements of the Wonder Pick event missions. According to GameRant, current promos run until Jan. 20, at 9:59 PM local time, so affected fans will still have a time frame to meet the requirements, such as reliving the anguish of collecting Charmander #32 and Squirtle #33 the second time.

What to Expect from Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Although it has caused frustration for some players, this has not eclipsed the fact that the game has continued to attract a growing player base.

For now, the hope is that the developer will quickly and effectively fix this issue to keep things on track and smooth out the experience in the next Wonder Pick events.
