"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" gets a demo that shows more fluid gameplay and shows gameplay for Android 16 at Gamescom 2016.
The gameplay shows below an in-game footage of the upcoming "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," which the players showcase Android 16 and pits him with the main antagonist for on "Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn," Janemba.
According to the player in the demo, the game seemed to play out faster and it does show that it is smoother with the consistent 60 frames per second gameplay. The player also stated that the targeting mechanics seemed to be much easier than its predecessor.
As Bandai Namco as also promised, the footage did seem to have a better dynamic camera that actually lets players track their movement better for easier battles.
The missing Homing Dash that was available on some earlier Dragon Ball games was also re-introduced in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" making the dashing more useful than before and pounding enemies is a breeze.
Ki Blasts also did have a different behavior with having an arc instead of going straight to the enemy, but that's a minor change for aesthetic purposes. What really hits the mark is the change in the Dash system, along with the well-placed Aura Burst Dash that counteracts the homing dash to balance out the homing dash.
Hopefully, given that Janemba already made his way to "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" more non-canon characters like those from Battle of Gods and Resurrection F will be introduced.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" officially releases this coming October 25 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Steam version comes out three days later. There will also be new content from time to time within a year according to Bandai Namco so extra characters can be expected as well as more additional game modes.
