"Destiny" fans will have more reasons to keep playing and waiting, while old and new players will want to join in with the upcoming "Destiny: Rise of Iron" expansion for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The latest expansion for "Destiny" is due to be released on September 20 with a demo next week at Gamescom; and Bungie, the game publisher, already revealed information regarding the Crucible mode.

According to the official developers' blogpost, there will be a livestream event for "Destiny: Rise of Iron" and this will let players get a taste of what the Crucible mode has to offer. Crucible Lead Designer Lars Bakken, along with World Lead Designer Steve Cotton, will present the new mode for the expansion.

The livestream is scheduled to be start at 1 p.m ET or 10 a.m PT via Bungie's official Twitch channel. For those who would be able to attend Gamescom can get a hands-on experience with the demo at Sony's booth in Hall 7. Bungie, however, teases that they're not telling what content, players will be able to see and try out.

As revealed in a number of reports and details divulged by official Bungie Twitter, "Destiny: Rise of Iron" will also have a multiplayer mode called Supremacy, which is strikingly similar to "Call of Duty's" Kill Confirmed mode.

Aside from new multiplayer modes, Rise of Iron will also include a number of new gears and raid modes as well as additional quests. Even the Gjallarhorn-Inspired Sparrow vehicle will be making its appearance in the form of Gjallarwing.

There will also be four additional maps to be added in "Destiny: Rise of Iron" namely The Last Exit, Floating Gardens, Skyline and Icarus and with the last one being a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4.

Players who are still playing the game mainly on either single player campaign or multiplayer may want to complete the story up to the Taken King expansion to be able to focus on what Rise of Iron will be offering.
