Some players were a bit expecting that Hello Game's "No Man's Sky" has a multiplayer feature. However, the developer of the games were firm with the feature's absence.
Almost in time to be released in about a few days for PC, "No Man's Sky" was rumored to have a multiplayer mode that will let players fly together in the vastness of the game's open-world sandbox nature. It turns out, nobody won't meet anybody in the game online or locally at all. Some players already confirmed this.
Redditer TheGalacticCactus, along with a fellow player, confirmed that "No Man's Sky" doesn't allow players to play along with each other as they never did see each other after going to the same spot at the exact same time.
To further prove the multiplayer feature's no-show in the game, the developer himself, Sean Murray, said through his tweet that "No Man's Sky" is really intended not to be a multiplayer experience.
The official website now covers almost all the things that the game well let players do:
Here is what No Man's Sky definitely is:
- Exploring a universe of pretty procedurally generated worlds, with beautiful creatures
- Trading with NPCs
- Combat against robots/mechs and cool space battles
- Survival/crafting in a universe sized sandbox
- An awesome procedural soundtrack from my genuine favourite band
- For one small moment, you might feel like you've stepped into a sci-fi book cover
Here's the part where the site clearly states the things that players should expect from "No Man's Sky" at it's current form at least:
"That means this maybe isn't the game you *imagined* from those trailers. If you hoped for things like pvp multiplayer or city building, piloting freighters, or building civilisations... that isn't what NMS is. Over time it might become some of those things through updates."
"No Man's Sky" is now available for the PS4, and despite the absence of the multiplayer feature, the gameplay trailers still look impressive.
