It is a little too early to expect anything from CD Projekt Red as they have just started hiring for their latest Sci-Fi RPG title "Cyberpunk 2077". However, gaming fans, especially those who loved "The Witcher," cannot wait to find out what the next game has in store for them.
Here are some of the things fans should expect to see in "Cyberpunk 2077."
An Awesome Storyline
One of the charms of the award-winning CD Projekt Red title "The Witcher" would be its compelling storyline, and fans expect nothing less from "Cyberpunk 2077."
The game has been said to take place in a "dark future in 2077 where advanced technologies have become both the salvation and the curse of humanity," according to Gamespot. It is a potential setting for a promising storyline for the game.
A True RPG, Not A Shooter
When the trailer first went live, people have speculated whether or not CD Projekt Red's next big title will be an all-out shooter game.
In an interview with IGN in 2014, CD Projekt Red co-founder and CEO Marcin Iwinski said that "Cyberpunk 2077" will be a "true" RPG.
"People have been asking me if Cyberpunk 2077 will have multiplayer or if it will be a straight-up shooter, and I tell them to relax because it will be a true RPG game," he said.
Multiplayer Features
While "Cyberpunk 2077" is not a multiplayer shooter, there will still be multiplayer elements in the game.
"It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs," CD Projekt Red managing director Adam Badowski told Eurogamer. but we're going to add multiplayer features."
New Gameplay Elements
Apart from confirming that the game will be an RPG, Iwinski also said that the studio is exploring new gameplay elements for "Cyberpunk 2077."
Bigger, More Ambitious Than "The Witcher 3"
With the runaway success of "The Witcher 3," it comes as no surprise that CD Projekt Red wants to step up its game.
Iwinski said that "Cyberpunk 2077" will be "more ambitious on every single front, in the development and on the marketing side."
These are all exciting features to be expected from the game. Unfortunately, fans would have to play another waiting game as "Cyberpunk 2077" won't be out anytime soon.
