"Pokémon Go" has been steadily going available for several countries across the world and just recently, it was released officially in Hong Kong following Japan's launch. South American trainers are still waiting though.
Just a few days ago, Plus 55 reported that thousands of Pokémon fanatics are still waiting in Brazil. It was rumored before that the game would actually be released on July 24, which didn't happen.
This created waves of complains and jokes on Twitter. With this sad fact, some players just can't stand waiting anymore and tried registering themselves in other countries' app stores. It didn't go well as the game devs easily singled out these unauthorized players quite swiftly.
El Nacional also reported the same thing about "Pokémon Go" not being released or, let alone, have any timeframe for a launch date.
It is clear that "Pokémon Go" is steadily being released as it already started in Asia. Hopefully, soon enough, we'll get to see it released worldwide including Asia, South America, India, etc.
In other news, Independent reported that an American football player almost got his face shot by four police men.
The man, name Faith Ekakitie, almost got by a police while aimlessly wandering and playing "Pokémon Go." He was mistaken for a bank robber who matched the descriptions.
"My pockets were checked, my backpack was opened up and searched carefully, and I was asked to lift up my shirt while they searched my waistband," Ekakitie wrote.
"Not once did they identify themselves to me as Iowa City Police officers, but with four gun barrels staring me in the face, I wouldn't dare question the authority of the men and woman in front of me. This is what happened from my point of view." he added.
Ekakitie wasn't able to respond to the police because he was wearing his headphones, busy playing "Pokémon Go." He wasn't aware that the cops were pointing their guns at him already.
Fortunately, what would have been as an accident was avoided, thanks to the responsible police men who weren't just about getting anybody who fits the bill.
