With the growing number of consumers who would like to experience how it is to use a virtual reality gear, the Samsung Gear VR 2 release date remains uncertain.

Will consumers finally try it soon enough?

With the advent of technology, constant upgrades have become a clamor among tech-savvy individuals who are fond of trying out the latest gadgets available in the market.

Amid this scenario, a new report has hinted that the much-awaited Samsung Gear VR 2 release date might be happening on Aug. 2, which is just two weeks from now.

As narrated by IT Pro UK, the VR device from the South Korean tech giant will be launched alongside another device from them - the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.

Meanwhile, ET News disclosed that the Galaxy Note 7's release will coincide with the 2016 Olympics Games in Rio.

It can be noted that Apple is usually making their new hardware products available towards the end of each year. However, the other brands like Samsung and LG come up with new items earlier to reportedly keep up with competition. Does this mean that the Samsung Gear VR 2 release date is really happening few days from now?

Professor Chang Seok-kwon of Hanyang University explained, "Unlike Apple that receives parts from outside companies, Samsung and LG have advantages in adjusting their release dates since their affiliates take care of manufacturing processes."

He also pointed out that "It has become important for Smartphone manufacturers to put out more new models as markets for Smartphones are now based on competition for speed."
