There have been persistent rumors that the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016), whose release date still has to be disclosed, will include a new feature called Smart Glow.

In fact, there were speculations that this "hidden" feature will be an alternative to the existing LED notification set up of Galaxy handsets, according to Sam Mobile.

The J2's Smart Glow, which is situated in the rear end and looks like a ring around the phone's camera, might in fact be more than just an alternative to the LED notification light.

The feature will reportedly have three major functions, which include Priority Alerts, Usage Alerts, and Selfie Assist.

The Priority alerts is a feature that will supposedly be available on the curved Samsung Galaxy J2 smartphones (2016) - whose release date still remains a mystery - will allow users to assign colors to specific contacts.

On the other hand, the Usage Alerts feature will purportedly serve as in indicator of the handset's different functions such as battery status and charging alerts.

Meanwhile, the Selfie assist feature, as its name connotes, is anticipated to help users when taking a selfie photo using the phone's rear camera.

Moreover, the Smart Glow ring will light up in Blue whenever the camera detects a face, and will automatically click an image within two seconds.

There are also speculations that Samsung plans to enhance the functionality of the GalaxyJ2 Smart Glow feature by adding a Weather Ring and a Health Ring to the handset.

In the meantime, there are rumors that the release date of the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2016) will be scheduled before the roll out of the Galaxy Note, which is expected to take place in August of this year, according to the International Business Times.

This means that there is big possibility that the latest iteration of the J2 will be launched by July.

In fact, The Federal Communication Commission (FCC) has cleared a device supposedly codenamed SM-J210F, which may actually be the Galaxy J2 (2016). The same handset has also reportedly received Bluetooth certification from the agency.
