Capcom's survival horror beat em up game "Dead Rising" may be getting a remaster, based on an updated PS4 trophy list posted online.
Playstation Trophy website Exophase recently posted a list of trophies for the first "Dead Rising" game. The trophy list is reportedly for Playstation 4, which raised speclations that a remaster is currently on its way.
Comicbook.com reported that Exophase usually updates its trophy lists only whenever a game is going to be released soon. If that is any indication, then Playstation fans will be able to get their hans on the game sooner than expected.
It is also not clear whether the game will just be a direct port from Xbox 360 or if it will be getting the full remaster treatment. Either way, it would at least tide the PS4 owners over until "Dead Rising 4" arrives on their consoles.
Capcom is currently working on the next title for the franchise, "Dead Rising 4." Fans who own a PS4 console, however, are upset that the game will be getting timed exclusivity on Windows 10 PC's and Xbox One.
The timed-exclusivity clause means that Playstation 4 owners will not be able to play the game until December 2017.
The 2006 "Dead Rising" title was originally only made playable on the Xbox 360, and no ports were made for the game, until now, if the list is proven to be true. The game was also followed by a Wii remake "Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop" in 2009, according to Niche Gamer.
The story of "Dead Rising" follows the exploits of photojournalist Frank West as he covers a zombie outbreak in a boarded-up mall in fictional town of Willamette, Colorado. Frank must defend himself from zombie attacks using virtually anything he can get his hands on as he attempts to uncover the truth behind the incident.
