Capcom's latest game "Dead Rising 4" will be a timed-exclusive on the Xbox One and Windows 10 when it comes out later this year.

In a Twitter post, Capcom Vancouver said that "Dead Rising 4" will come to the Xbox One and Windows 10 first, which means that there is a chance that it will be released on other platforms like Playstation 4 and Steam once the timed-exclusivity is up.

Gamespot reported that the game publisher Microsoft also confirmed the same information in a statement.

"Fans will be able to play "Dead Rising 4" first on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC this December," Microsoft said. "It will remain a Windows 10 exclusive for the first 90 days and console exclusive on Xbox One for one year."

This announcement comes as a surprise, since the only "Dead Rising" that was released for the Playstation was "Dead Rising 2" in 2010. The rest of the "Dead Rising" titles were only ever released on the Xbox and PC, according to Eurogamer.

The 90-day Windows 10 exclusivity may also mean that the game will be available on Steam after three months, according to Push Square.

"Dead Rising 4" will feature the return of journalist Frank West, the protagonist of the first "Dead Rising" game. The game will also take place in the same setting as the first title, Willamette, Colorado, a few years after the events of "Dead Rising 3."

Another Microsoft timed-exclusive title is Crystal Dynamics' and Square Enix's "Tomb Raider" reboot sequel, "Rise of the Tomb Raider." The game was released on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One on November 10, 2015, followed by a PC release on January 28, 2016.

The "Tomb Raider" game is set to come out on the Playstation 4 later this year, but is yet to be given an exact release date.

"Dead Rising 4" is available on Xbox One and Windows 10 on December 6.
