Nintendo has been mum about its latest console despite its biggest competitors Sony and Microsoft showing off their new hardware these past few days.

Here's what we know about the Nintendo NX so far.

What Are The Specs of the Nintendo NX?

Reddit is rife with rumors about the Nintendo NX. In one Reddit thread, user untypedhero listed possible specs for the NX. According to the Reddit post, the NX will have X86 architecture, can backup date to Nintendo server, and will have support for an additional screen.

The Reddit post also speculated that the NX might be able to interact with smartphone apps, and can handle ports of current-gen games.

The Reddit user is confirmed to have connections to the Wii U developers, accourding to moderator FlapSnapple.

What Launch Games Should We Expect?

It is already known that Nintendo's newest Zelda title, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be playable on the Nintendo NX, and it could possibly be one of the launch games for the console, according to CNET.

A Reddit thread also discussed the possibility of "Pikmin" being a launch title for the Nintendo NX.

Will Nintendo NX Games Come In Cartridge Form?

Another rumor circulating is the possibility of cartridges on the Nintendo NX. According to Digital Trends, Nintendo might be looking at dropping optical discs in favor of the old school physical cartridges.

Forbes also reported the same speculation recently, in which a NeoGaf forumer posted that the US trademark for "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" also included game cartridges, which is also seen on 3DS titles like "Ever Oasis" and "Pokemon Sun and Moon."

A Reddit thread also has a discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of using cartridges on the NX, which has a lot of valid points. The thread can be found on this link.

When is the Nintendo NX Coming Out?

Nintendo posted a announcement on Twitter that teases a possible March 2017 release for the Nintendo NX.

This information was also echoed on the game company's recent Financial Statement. "The dedicated video game hardware codenamed "NX" is scheduled for launch in March of 2017," the company wrote.

This coincides with the rumor of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" possibly being a launch title for the NX.

How Much Will The Nintendo NX Cost?

The Nintendo Wii U's high pricing has driven potential buyers away from the console, according to CNET. With hopes that Nintendo learned from its past mistake, the Nintendo NX might have a price tag that is on par with competitors this time around.

Nintendo CEO Kimishima confirmed, however, that the company will not sell NX at a loss.

"When Wii U was launched, the yen was very strong," Kimishima said during a Q&A session with investors. "I am assuming that situation will not repeat itself. Selling at a loss at launch would not support the business, so we are keeping that mind in developing NX."
